A few weeks ago The Real Weddings Style magazine hit the news stands and we were thrilled to see one of our favourite cakes on the front cover.

This is a really beautiful annual that also features real life weddings and beautiful products. It is well worth picking up if you are planning a wedding or a special event. The styling tips and features always make me want to have a beautiful party.

Also this week a cake we made for Mandi over at Babyology was reviewed on her website. You can read the review here

Welcome Back

October has flown by without a post by me, but I have a few good excuses.

The first being that on the day of the last post 28th September I had our third son Jasper, so I have been busy settling in to having three boys.

Chris has been flat out with cakes, October has been one of our busiest months and Chris has created many fantastic cakes. two of our favourites are the Combi.

We have made cakes for Oscar since his second birthday and each year he comes up with a different car for Chris to make. Chris has made a Mini Cooper, an orange Hummer, a black Jeep Cheroke and the Love Bug VB for Oscar’s little sister. We can’t wait to see what they come up with next year.

Another favourite cake for this month was a wedding cake Chris made for Jean and Jonathan who were married at the Briars in Bowral.

Chris really hit it off with this couple and after their initial consultation felt really inspired. The cake was decorated with a muscial score that Jonathan had composed and a dancing couple which also adorned the couple’s invitations.

As a very romantic touch the groom surprised his bride by organising a string quartet to play the piece of music he had composed for the cake as she walked down the aisle.
