My last bird post…..I promise

Having a small baby who sleeps well I am often house bound and I have been using that time looking at other people’s blogs who are in a similar industry.

Now because we are in the midst of the wedding season I have been looking at all sorts of amazing wedding sites and the bird thing is world wide.

It is not just the use of bird figurines or stationary featuring birds, but also feathers and which bird is renowned for it’s stunning feathers….The Peacock.

Have a look at these amazing ideas featuring Peacock feathers. I love the vibrant colours and all the different textures - although it might be a little OTT to have an entire event styled in Peacock.

Wedding Style Guide

The Summer edition of Wedding Style Guide has just hit the shops, it is a must have if you are designing and planning a wedding.

We were asked to make a cake for a photo shoot with a lilac, white and green colour palette and were given a pattern to incorporate in the design and this was the result.

Wedding Style Guide also has a fantastic blog.

More Birds

Friday, December 4th, 2009

I don’t know what it is at the moment, but we have been inundated with orders featuring birds.

And to add to all the birdy fun when I went shopping with my boys for some Christmas decos we came home, with you guessed it…..birds. Gorgeous silver Robins with sequins.

This week’s featured bird is Tilly’s Owl.

Chris used the invitation to Tilly’s party as inspiration for the cake.
